CRINGE?!?
Can I Date My Kid’s Teacher? ([link removed])

Our advice column Ask A MWLTF — yes, that’s Mother Who Likes to F*ck — is back! And this time, Penelope is navigating a bit of a doozy: What if the one decent guy you can find to date, in this cursed age of apps, is your kid’s teacher?

“Just when I’d given up, I ran into my son’s eighth grade teacher at a coffee shop. We started chatting, first about school, then about a bunch of things that had nothing to do with school. I felt a real connection, but figured nothing would come of it. Then I ran into him at the same place the next weekend, and once again ended up talking for hours. What can I say? I’m smitten, and I sense the feeling is mutual,” says our letter writer.

It’s a tricky one, but Penelope has a clear answer.

“‘Just wait til they are teenagers.’ It's one of the most common refrains I hear from grandmas in the grocery store as they watch me load gallons of milk into my cart,” writes Alexandra Frost. “It's the same head-shaking, all-knowing, under-the-breath muttering I get from parents who are far beyond changing diapers, running preschool carpools, and carrying math flashcards in their purses.” But actually, there are reasons to look forward to this tumultuous era, and she’s got five to share.
