It's time to end the era of dirty fuels

President Biden's historic decision to pause approvals for proposed LNG export projects is a vital step towards protecting the climate and those most impacted by pollution—but some lawmakers are doing everything they can to thwart it.

Tell your members of Congress that you support a pause on LNG.

TAKE ACTION

Hi there,

Last month, President Biden made the historic decision to pause approvals on exports of liquid "natural" gas (LNG). Now, let's keep it that way while the Department of Energy (DOE) reassesses whether massive fossil fuel developments are in the public interest. (Hint: They're not.)

What we're fighting for: LNG expansion has come at the expense of people and our climate. LNG export facilities are often sited in Black, Brown, and low-income communities, who have been forced to breathe dangerous cancer-causing pollution and witness ecosystems around them collapse for decades.

What we're up against: Backed by Big Oil donations, Republicans in Congress are doing everything they can to pressure President Biden to backtrack on this commonsense pause.

What you can do: Tell your member of Congress that you support this pause and you need them to stand by President Biden’s decision right now.

SPEAK UP NOW

It's time to end the era of fossil fuels. We can't let the self-serving interests of GOP members, beholden to the oil industry over the American people, dictate what's best for us and our future. Let your voice be heard and tell your Representative where you stand.

Onward,

Mattea Mrkusic
