John, defending democracy and freedom, expanding opportunity and fairness, and meeting the climate crisis aren't just the words of a campaign for me. They've been the story of my life. That story began in a small upstairs apartment, where I watched my immigrant parents work so hard yet struggle to make ends meet. I served our nation in uniform after 9/11, and I took on the big banks after they caused the financial crisis. I built a company that helped families avoid unfair bank fees and that treated its workers right. When Roe v. Wade was overturned, I ensured that every one of our employees would have access to reproductive health services even if they lived in a state where abortion was banned.
