John,
This week, President Biden announced the federal government will no longer treat marijuana as a dangerous “Schedule I” drug on the same level as heroin and opium. This reclassification decision is an important step on the path to national marijuana reform and will advance progressive policies relating to criminal justice, public health, and worker protections.
It could also have a great impact on voter turnout this November.
Ground Game has been preparing for this moment for the last eighteen months. Our plan has been to boost turnout in key communities, including the city of Dallas, by connecting popular enthusiasm for marijuana reform with candidates on the general election ballot.
Help Ground Game turn out marijuana reform voters for Joe Biden this November. Your donation of $25 or more will turn out Biden voters in Texas cities including the city of Dallas.
John, as we write these words, Ground Game staff are collecting signatures in Dallas for a November ballot proposition to reform marijuana enforcement by city police. We will collect close to 50,000 signatures by the time we are done, and gather tens of thousands of cell phone numbers and email addresses along the way. This data set will be added to our files from seven prior marijuana reform campaigns in places like Austin and San Antonio.
All told, we’ll have good contact information for 125,000 Texans who support marijuana reform. And now we have a President who is allied with their goals.
Help us get out these voters for Democrats this fall with a contribution today!
