Republicans have created a healthcare crisis for women across the country. This is the most egregious infringement of reproductive rights in over 50 years.
We hate to reach out with bad news, but this is serious: an extreme, near-total abortion ban went into effect in Florida YESTERDAY.
Thanks to Donald Trump's efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade, there are no longer protections in place for states like Florida and Oklahoma. Extreme bans are now the law of the land.
Make no mistake, John – Republicans have created a healthcare crisis for women across the country. This is the most egregious infringement of reproductive rights in over 50 years.
To make matters worse, Trump brags that he is proud to be the person responsible for overturning Roe v. Wade. We have the opportunity to hold him accountable – first, by supporting Florida Democrats in their efforts to codify reproductive rights into their state constitution. Then, by keeping Trump out of the White House.
We need to do everything we can to fight back against extreme abortion bans. With 1 in 3 American women of reproductive age now living under an abortion ban, they're at risk of being:
🏥 Turned away from emergency rooms and life-saving medical treatment.
⚖️ Forced to go to court to seek permission for necessary medical attention.
🚙 Required to travel hundreds of miles to receive health care, if they make it that far.
