When Donald Trump got that chance, he asked for absolute presidential immunity from criminal prosecution. And despite a total lack of legal precedent and universal rejection by lower courts, the MAGA justices on the Supreme Court have decided to hear Trump’s claims of immunity for a criminal conspiracy to overthrow the 2020 election.

We are right to be concerned: No court has ever recognized presidential immunity from criminal prosecution. This case could set a dangerous precedent and place some officials above the law, accountable to no one.

Sign our petition now to let the Supreme Court know that they need to serve the interests of the American people, not Donald Trump.

The decision to hear this case is inextricably linked to the corruption that has taken root in our highest court. As journalist Mark Jacob noted: “Right-wing rich people didn’t buy Clarence Thomas a fancy RV and fly Samuel Alito to an Alaska fishing trip just for kicks. They’re getting what they paid for.”

The Supreme Court must conduct this hearing and rule by May 20th so, at last, a jury of Americans can weigh the facts of the case and determine the consequences for Trump’s attempted 2020 insurrection.
