President's Message

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a pivotal time to address the challenges faced by millions of Americans living with mental health conditions. NAMI has crafted a Mental Health Awareness Month toolkit with resources you can share to support individuals and families on their journey toward mental wellness.

Let's not forget that School Nurse Day is coming next Wednesday, May 8! School nurses are on the frontlines of student mental health. #SND2024 is a prime opportunity to shine a spotlight on your crucial role. Don't miss the chance to explore NASN's School Nursing Practice Framework™, which now places a greater emphasis on your role in mental health.

NASN2024 will feature a range of sessions focusing on the mental health and well-being of students and school nurses. The deadline for the early registration rate is now May 10! So check out the session details and speakers for both the In-Person and Virtual events and REGISTER. I can't wait to see you there!
