Today marks two years since the Dobbs decision was leaked to POLITICO, warning of the imminent reversal of the right to an abortion.

Since then, Republicans have been working overtime to make it harder and harder to access abortion care. We’ve seen dozens of states severely limit abortion or enact complete bans. Florida’s near-total ban went into effect just yesterday.

Donald Trump has stated that, if reelected, he would allow states to monitor patients’ pregnancies and prosecute patients who receive care.

We’ve seen attacks on medication abortion, IVF, patient confidentiality, and more.

Last month, a coalition of 17 Republican-led states sued the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over a new rule giving workers time off for abortion care. Republicans will stop at nothing until they have complete control over patients’ bodies.

Take Arizona, where 280 votes in AG Kris Mayes’ election made the difference in whether or not Arizonans would have an AG that would prosecute patients under the state’s 1864 abortion ban.

Without Dem AGs, there would be no line of defense between patients and these Republican attacks. That’s why it’s critical that we have reproductive rights champions in office to protect our freedoms.
