Let me explain this headline, folks:

"Supreme Court appears skeptical that state abortion ban conflict with federal health care law" - The Associated Press, 4/24/24

FIRST: Our broken Supreme Court overturned Roe and Republicans in states across the country passed dangerous, no-exception abortion bans.

THEN: The Biden administration filed a lawsuit saying that the near-total abortion ban in Idaho conflicts with a federal law that upholds certain standards for pregnant women in emergency medical care.

NOW: Reports are saying that the conservative majority on the Court are skeptical of the Biden administration’s lawsuit in a case that will have far-reaching consequences for our country.

This is bad, folks. If the Supreme Court rules against the administration, emergency medical care for pregnant women could be at risk for Americans in dozens of states that are living under abortion bans.

We’re lucky that here in Virginia, the General Assembly is controlled by Democrats who will steadfastly protect a woman’s right to choose. But we need to help our allies in states across the country that aren’t as fortunate.

So I’m personally asking: Can you donate $5 now to help me expand our Democratic Senate majority so we can codify Roe into law and make sure the full range of reproductive health care is protected for every single American? [link removed]
