What are you fighting for, John?

We each have something that drove us to get involved in our community and politics. For me, it was growing extremism. I saw what happened with the 2016 election and I felt that was not us. It was maddening to watch because I knew that didn't represent the state I grew up in.

That's when I got politically active, ran for Congress, and started a movement that is powered by the people — not corporations or special interests — who make our community what it is. Together, we've fought for abortion rights, special education, workers, common sense gun reform, and so much more, all to improve the lives of Iowans and their families.

We are 13 days away from our next fundraising deadline, and if 37 grassroots donors chip in before the deadline, we'll be able to show the far-right extremists in Iowa that we aren't giving up. I am still standing tall for all Iowans, can I count on you to stand with me?

I am the only Democrat representing northwestern Iowa, and Governor Reynolds and her extremist allies want to make sure I am the last.

In 2022, Reynolds won our district by 10 points! That is an enormous lead, and it shows just how easily Republicans can take away our representation if we sit on our hands. Republicans recruited a candidate who is fighting for "strong, conservative values", and he has a shot at bringing those extremist views here to Sioux City.

Grassroots campaigns like ours are what will make the difference as we stand together and renew Democratic values in Iowa. Because when we join together, share our values with our neighbors, and do the hard work to make a difference, we can create a better Iowa for everyone.
