John,

If you only have 30 seconds to spare, read this:

Do you dream of affordable homes powered by clean energy? Do you want to
see community solar in your neighborhoods? How about electric school buses
for local schools? These initiatives are already transforming communities
in various parts of the nation, all thanks to state green banks.

Currently, 20 states have established green banks and they are crushing
it, turning green initiatives into green moola to grow their economy. The
other states — well, they have a bit of catching up to do.
Does your state have a green bank? Click on the button to find out if your
state is already kickstarting the climate energy economy with their green
bank OR if your elected officials need a nudge to ensure one is created.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have 2 minutes to spare, read this:

Green banks are public financial institutions that help fund the
acceleration of clean energy. A statewide green bank is hyper-focused at
the local level, ensuring that both projects and the necessary workforce
for development and deployment are implemented right in your own backyard.

These banks are your community climate funders. They prioritize combating
climate change over maximizing profits, but by using the same tactics as
larger private banks, they can achieve both. This stimulates the
production of clean energy and jobs — a win-win for both people and the
planet.

Luckily, there’s good news for both green bank and non-green bank states.
Billions of dollars in federal funding are out, looking to finance an
increase in clean energy production. Part of the money went into the
establishment of a national green bank, an institution created to
facilitate the green transition on an even larger scale. If this national
green bank is successful, it will use federal funding by the end of the
year to create green banks in states that don’t currently have them and to
fund new clean energy projects in states where they've already been
established.

Want to make sure your state doesn't miss out on the green ka-ching?

the needs of your state by funding or creating a green bank!

Tell Your Governor: Fund or Create a State Green Bank!

Once that money is in a state green bank, it becomes a community
investment that will revitalize neighborhoods, revamp renewable energy,
and reinvigorate the green economy. Let’s make this a reality for us all.

In solidarity,
