A Message from Our Executive Director

During these unprecedented times of a worldwide Coronavirus pandemic the response from Arkansas Baptists has been nothing short of spectacular. The stories coming in from around the state regarding how our leaders and churches have risen to the occasion are literally breathtaking. Following are a few quick observations:
* Arkansas Baptists engaged immediately. The response from our churches and leaders was quick and decisive.

* Arkansas Baptists engaged creatively and strategically. Our churches and leaders immediately found ways to preach, teach, and minister through unique and unexplored avenues.

* Arkansas Baptists engaged compassionately. The expressed love and heartfelt ministry coming from our churches and members to their communities has been stellar.

Though we have certainty of the impact of the Gospel and the faithfulness of our people, we do not know if this pandemic will be brief or prolonged. With this in mind, here are a few suggestions as we move ahead:
* Stay connected to your church family and your community. Equip your church to employ every means possible to share the Gospel, teach the Word, and minister to folks in safe and effective ways.

* Stay connected to other pastors and staff. This can be accomplished through your local Associations, networks, and friendship groups. Some of our pastors and staff are going through great struggles and need your friendship and encouragement.

* Be extremely flexible. Not only do you need to find immediate strategies that work for you, you also need to plan to adapt and change as new needs and new ideas emerge.

* Share your successes, challenges, and urgent prayer requests. In this time, we need to learn from and depend on each other. Please share anything you learn or experience on the Arkansas Baptist Pastors Facebook Group ([link removed]) or with our staff directly. God is indeed doing great things in and through Arkansas Baptists! Arkansas Baptists are the greatest folks in the world.
