Two years ago today, news broke that the Supreme Court was poised to strike down Roe v. Wade — depriving millions of women across our nation of their fundamental rights.

As a direct result of that decision, we’ve seen needless suffering, tragedy, and pain. Women have been forced to carry unviable pregnancies to term at great cost to their health. Medical providers have faced threats of criminal prosecution so aggressive that some have turned away women seeking urgent reproductive care. And recently, some families have even been deprived of the opportunity to conceive through IVF.

These far-right attacks on reproductive freedom are getting worse.

It didn’t get nearly enough news coverage, but a majority of Republicans just signed onto a plan to ban abortion nationwide and criminalize conception through IVF. That’s the level of extremism we are up against in this next election.

We have to fight back, and this election is the best chance we have to do it. If we win in this critical swing district in November – and retake the House of Representatives — we can pass federal legislation restoring the protections once held in Roe and reinstate abortion rights in all 50 states.

I’m committed to winning this fight, but it’s going to take all of us. Can you pitch in today and help me keep up the fight for reproductive freedom?

Talking with my daughter two years ago after the news about Roe being struck down, and hearing her pain and anger, is one of the hardest conversations I’ve ever had. And she is the reason I’ll never quit.

I will continue to give everything I have to ensure that my daughter inherits an America that fully recognizes her rights as a woman. The next generation deserves nothing less.

If you’re with me, and you’re able to help out, your support has never mattered more.

Thanks so much. Together, I know we can win this fight.
