Hi, friend — did you see me on MSNBC last night?

As of yesterday, Ron DeSantis' six-week abortion ban — with almost no exceptions for rape or incest — is now in effect here in Florida. I'm devastated that this ban will create life or death situations for millions of Floridians.

But there's still hope, friend: Abortion rights are officially on the ballot in Florida this November, so voters get to have the final word on the GOP's extremist bans.

That's why I was so glad to discuss this news with Joy Reid and spread the word nationwide about how high the stakes are in Florida's elections.

Listen: My opponent, Rick Scott, co-sponsored a nationwide ban on abortions that would put doctors in prison. He even endorsed Ron DeSantis' ban, saying, “I am 100% pro-life and if I was still governor, I would sign this bill.”

Ya no más. I am unapologetically pro-choice, and I will always fight to protect reproductive freedom.

So now that abortion will be the driving force at the ballot box this November, Rick Scott is absolutely spiraling. It's no secret why his fellow extremists tried so hard to keep the question off the ballot in the first place:

He knows that 67% of Floridians oppose these deadly bans.
He knows that Florida is ready to follow other states in rejecting abortion bans.
He knows Florida voters will protect our right to privacy, our right to choose, and our most basic freedoms at the polls this November.

But with Democrats' slim Senate majority on the line, he could still somehow win this fight: He's already spent over $4 MILLION of his own money running attack ads.

I'm not just up against an extremist, friend — I'm up against a multi-millionaire extremist. With this momentum on our side, we have a golden opportunity to build the resources it'll take to retire him, so long as I can count on your help. Will you please rush $5 to help me build a grassroots war chest that can defeat Scott's fortune, flip Florida blue, and stop the GOP's anti-choice extremism in Florida and across the nation?
