National Secular Society

Hello,

We hope you are safe and well during these unprecedented times. While the No More Faith Schools campaign is continuing to work hard, much of this activity will be less visible with so many schools closed, and the policy agenda dominated by the virus.

Events

Regretfully we've had to cancel events in Oxford (17 April), Guildford (12 May), Chichester (26 May), Peterborough (11 June), Bedford (18 June), Swindon (2 July) and Cornwall (21 July).

As things stand we're planning to go ahead with events in Canterbury (19 July), Guildford (8 September), Peterborough (10 September) and Bournemouth (12 September).

We've been in contact with the organisers/hosts of all the cancelled events and hope to rearrange them all, in due course. If you are involved in any local groups who would like a speaker about the No More Faith Schools campaign, please get in touch. I'm extremely keen to arrange more talks, when it is safe and possible to do so.

Campaigns

We're continuing to support local campaigns where possible and where actions can be taken remotely. There's more information on our get involved page. If you'd like help or advice with challenging a new faith school in your area, please let us know. There's also more information and ideas on ways to support the national campaign.

YouTube

If you'd like to send us a short video about why you're saying "No More Faith Schools", we could feature it on our YouTube channel. Also if you spot any news clips or other videos about faith schools, let us know and we could add it to our playlist.

Stay safe. Best wishes,

Alastair Lichten
NMFS campaign coordinator
