1. UNC-Chapel Hill Students Praised For Saving American Flag From Anti-Israel Protesters: ‘This Is America’

Students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill were praised this week for rushing in to save an American flag from being destroyed by anti-Israel protesters on campus who were seeking to tear it down.

In what became an instantly iconic photo that was viewed across social media tens of millions of times, a group of young men could be seen holding the large flag, preventing it from touching the ground.

2. We are frogs in the kettle': Persecution watchdog sounds alarm on growing threat facing American Christians

Open Doors, the watchdog group born of an effort to smuggle Bibles into communist-occupied Poland, indicated in its latest annual report that one in seven Christians worldwide faces "high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith." That amounts to over 365 million Christians with targets on their backs. Things appear to be getting progressively worse, granted five years ago, the statistic was one in nine.

Massachusetts Democratic Gov. Maura Healey's office plans to convert a National Guard armory in Lexington into a temporary "safety-net" shelter for illegal immigrants, the Boston Herald reported Monday.

5. Americans Say That Immigration Is The Top Issue Facing The Country For Third Month In A Row

Americans have named immigration as the single biggest problem facing the United States for the third month in a row, a series of polls from Gallup has found.

The open-ended question posed by Gallup found that 27 percent of respondents said that immigration was the biggest issue facing the country in April, with 28 percent saying the same in February and March, up from 21 percent in January.
