Important update for Death Registration System

DOH still has many providers that have not enrolled for WHALES Death Registration system. If you are involved in patient care and may have to complete a death report, you cannot access EDRS. You must have a WHALES Death Registration account. Enrollment is a multi-step process, which means the time to sign up is NOW before you have a death to report. This will result in a quicker death registration process for all involved. More Information [ [link removed] ]

*Opportunity to Help Improve the Safe Medication Return System*

The Safe Medication Return system at the Department of Health launched an awareness survey of law enforcement staff, veterinarians, pharmacists, physicians, and other health care providers. Your input will help the department assess awareness, attitudes, and use of Safe Medication Return services and benefits. Survey data will help improve Safe Medication Return and inform the department?s report to the legislature.

Please consider taking this survey and sharing the link [ [link removed] ] with other law enforcement staff, veterinarians, pharmacists, and health care providers.

The Department of Health is offering a similar survey to the public. Please share the public survey [ [link removed] ] widely within Washington state to help improve the system for our communities.

Both the public [ [link removed] ] and professional [ [link removed] ] survey will be available until May 15. Each should take about five minutes to complete.

If you have questions about either survey, contact the department at [email protected] or 360-236-4698
