Donald Trump is more focused on bailing out big industry than helping families deal with COVID-19. How do you feel about this?

Friends --
If the true measure of a president’s leadership is how he handles a crisis, then we can say without equivocation: Donald Trump is no leader.
From the very start, Trump has misled and flat-out lied to the American people about one of the most serious health crises of our lifetime: the COVID-19 global pandemic. He began by announcing on February 24th that “the coronavirus is very much under control in the USA.” He followed up by declaring that the number of U.S. cases is “going very substantially down” to “close to zero.” And sadly, surprising no one, on February 28th he called it his political opponents’ “new hoax.”

Before signing a bill with $500 billion in business bailouts, Trump took time to meet with CEOs from Wall Street’s biggest banks, including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Bank of America. And while our president bends over backwards for wealthy companies, many sick Americans still can’t even get the coronavirus test that Trump promised would be available to them!
The virus is still spreading throughout the United States, but Trump seems determined to downplay this critical threat. Instead of showing concern for people’s health or offering reassurance to families who would suffer financially, he has made irresponsible comments and focused on damage to the stock market and big corporations.
If you’re frustrated by Donald Trump’s failure to display competent leadership at this critical moment, will you share your thoughts? Or if you have a different take, let us know.
Together we’ll stand up for Americans’ best interests and hold our leaders accountable.
