Hello Friend,

The South, with its deep roots in the Civil Rights Movement and as the birthplace of numerous iconic advocates for justice, continues to shape the course of American history. Today, we invite you to be part of this legacy. We are thrilled to share some exciting news! We are launching a significant new initiative titled "The South's Got Now | Decidimos " (We Decide in Spanish), aimed at mobilizing young voters of color for the November election. This bilingual campaign seeks to activate the electoral power of voters age 18 to 29 across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

This campaign empowers a new generation of Southerners, led by young people of color, who have something to say and will make their voices heard at the ballot box. United together, they will defy the people who tell them that their votes and opinions don't matter and prove they are an undeniable force for change.

While envisioning this campaign, we conducted research to hear directly from young Black, Latinx, AAPI and Indigenous people about their thoughts, feelings, hopes and frustrations felt about voting and the political process.

Based on that research, our campaign will engage our high-potential voter audiences through influential voices, cultural moments and everyday young voices to activate this key electorate and demonstrate their power - up and down the ballot. We'll be present in social media feeds, on the air waves and on college campuses.

This massive undertaking requires big resources. Can you join us to make this campaign a winner? Here are two ways you can help:

Donate to help the SPLC fight for democracy, equal ballot access and
justice for all.
