We hate to reach out with bad news, but this is serious: an extreme, near-total abortion ban went into effect in Florida TODAY.
Thanks to Donald Trump's efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade, there are no longer protections in place for states across the country, now including Florida. Extreme bans are now the law of the land.

Make no mistake, John – Republicans have created a healthcare crisis for women across the country. This is the most egregious infringement of reproductive rights in over 50 years.

Here in Delaware, we know what it's like to fight for reproductive rights and win. We saw the writing on the wall and codified abortion rights into our Constitution after Trump’s election in 2017. Now, our friends in Florida are working hard to do the same, and they need OUR help. That's why we're standing with Florida Democrats to help them fight for reproductive rights. This isn't just a Florida issue; it's a freedom issue.
To make matters worse, Trump brags that he is proud to be the person responsible for overturning Roe v. Wade. We have the opportunity to hold him accountable – first, by supporting Florida Democrats in their efforts to codify reproductive rights into their state constitution. Then, by keeping Trump out of the White House.
We need to do everything we can to fight back against extreme abortion bans. With 1 in 3 American women of reproductive age now living under an abortion ban, they're at risk of being:
🏥 Turned away from emergency rooms and life-saving medical treatment.
⚖️ Forced to go to court to seek permission for necessary medical attention.
🚙 Required to travel hundreds of miles to receive health care, if they make it that far.
