A better Europe is possible. A Europe with affordable homes, lower energy bills, and cheaper ways to commute. With jobs that are secure and pay well.

Our plan, the Green and Social Deal, is about investing in our future. We’re talking about better housing that doesn’t cost a fortune, fixing up old homes to cut energy bills, and improving public transport to make getting around cheaper. This plan is good for your wallet, will create 10 million well-paying jobs, and is essential to fight the climate crisis.

But not everyone is on board. Just last week, conservatives, social democrats and liberals in the European Parliament adopted a new austerity plan for Europeans. They chose to cut spending instead of investing in the things that make our economies stronger and greener.

Fighting for fair wages, stable jobs, and a healthy planet is all part of the same struggle. That's why we, the Greens, stand together with labour unions and climate activists. We're all working hand in hand for a society where everyone can thrive, and no one has to struggle to survive.

Together, we can achieve this.

This Workers’ Day, let’s celebrate our unity. Let’s Choose Courage and fight for our future. Because when we stand together, we are unstoppable.
