John, We want to be transparent with you. You’re a part of our team and we truly value every single person who follows us on social media, subscribes to our emails, donates, and supports our movement. To be blunt — our fundraising has been slower this month. That means we have a lot of ground to make up before midnight tonight. We can’t end gun violence and protect democracy without you, and we only ask for your monetary support when we really need it. It’s an election year, and we still have a lot to do to ensure we make major strides and mobilize more young people than ever before ahead of November. We don’t expect everyone to be able to donate every time we ask, but if we can have a strong show of support before major fundraising deadlines — like tonight’s — it really makes a difference.
