Dear John, there is a crisis on our college campuses right now.
Rising rates of antisemitic incidents, encampments spreading across the country, and threats to commencements and other ceremonies are escalating. Shouts of “intifada now” are stoking the risk of violence. There have been endorsements of the encampments by student factions of U.S.-designated terror organizations including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
ADL invites you to register now for an emergency Fighting Hate from Home webinar tomorrow, 5/1 at 1:00 pm ET, as we discuss the alarming antisemitism and hate on college and university campuses across the country, and how we can support Jewish college students.
Since the October 7th terrorist attacks by Hamas on Israel, antisemitic incidents have soared across the United States. But this has been felt perhaps nowhere more intensely than on U.S. college campuses, where Jewish students have borne the brunt of severe antisemitic incidents, including assaults, intimidation and harassment.
Join ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt and ADL VP for Advocacy Shira Goodman for a conversation with U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres, a champion in the fight against antisemitism and in support of the Jewish community; voices from campus including Barri Seitz,
a student at University of Texas-Austin and Founder & Vice President of Longhorn Students for Israel; and a parent of a college student from a campus where antisemitism is on the rise. You’ll hear about what needs to be done now by everyone concerned about the welfare of Jewish students. You can help — as students, parents, alumni and other concerned members of the ADL community — to ensure that all students can learn as they deserve — safely and without disruption.
We want you to be part of the conversation with the panelists, so please bring your questions.
