Stop map manipulators from rigging elections »
After 15 states and one territory rescheduled election dates or switched to vote-by-mail this spring, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers called for a special session of the state legislature last week to address public safety concerns about holding in-person voting in the election scheduled for today.
Conservatives in Wisconsin's gerrymandered legislature refused to act. And when Governor Evers tried to protect his constituents by delaying the election until June, the state Supreme Court overruled him -- forcing the people of Wisconsin to choose between respecting social distancing or casting a ballot.
Why are conservatives so eager to suppress voters in Wisconsin? A seat on the state Supreme Court is up for state-wide reelection -- and whoever is elected would be a key vote that could protect or strike down manipulated maps and voter suppression laws.
Essentially, conservatives are taking advantage of an opportunity to suppress voters now so that they can try to systematically disenfranchise them for the next decade. This must stop. Help All On The Line hold map manipulators accountable → make a donation to our grassroots response fund.
