John,

We would like to invite you to join us for our 2024 Workers' Memorial Day Event, where we will gather to remember and pay tribute to the workers who have lost their lives due to work-related hazards. Worker's Memorial Day originated from the labor movement's fight for safer workplaces and became a national day of remembrance in 1970 when the Occupational Safety and Health Act was passed.

Workers will call for protections as a fundamental right and highlight the need for workers to have the right to organize in their workplaces to win safer working conditions and a better life. Teamsters will also be commemorating a fallen Teamster member who passed away while working on the job.
