John, I’m not going to beat around the bush – we’re just hours away from the end of April, and right now, I need your help.

Let me explain why your help is so important. I’m running against an incumbent, Nick LaLota, who has spent his time in office currying favor with the most extreme members of his party, supporting legislation to rip away women’s reproductive freedom, attempting to pass budgets that would gut programs like Social Security – and that’s just the beginning.

I’m not one to sugarcoat things, and I’m not going to start now. If we don’t take back control of the House in November, thousands of Long Islanders – and folks across the country – are at serious risk of losing their rights under continued Republican “leadership.”

But first, we need to win our primary on June 25 – and my primary opponent just got a $1 million boost from an outside group. Flipping NY-01 is going to be an uphill battle, and we need to elect the best candidate to fight for Long Islanders in Congress.
