Supporting kids on the spectrum during the crisis

It’s Autism Awareness Month and we want to salute the contributions of people with autism, as well as the families and professionals who support and empower them to thrive.

We know how hard it will be for the autism community to get deserved attention during the coronavirus crisis. This week on childmind.org we feature specific resources for supporting kids on the spectrum whose schools and services have been suspended, as well as suggestions for ABA providers working with parents remotely. We also have a new comprehensive Parents Guide to Autism, covering the earliest signs to the latest therapies and more.

And finally, Wednesday, at 4:30pm, you are invited to join a Facebook Live chat with Bethany Vibert, PsyD, an autism expert at the Child Mind Institute who will answer your questions about supporting kids with autism during this crisis.
