Family is at the core of the work we do here at the Innocence Project. Families — and especially mothers — provide critical support to their loved ones (our clients) as they navigate the complex and traumatizing experiences of wrongful arrest, prosecution, conviction, and incarceration.

Time and again, we’ve seen mothers of wrongfully convicted people push boulders uphill for their children. I am blown away by their unshakeable commitment, often in the face of extraordinary public pressure.
