John, we want to give you an update on our fight for safer schools and communities, but we’re only hours away from our critical end-of-month deadline, and we still need to raise $4,588 before midnight, so first we have to ask:
Will you rush $25 to empower educators and school staff to demand that our communities are safer for educators, school staff, students, and families before we fall behind?
It is downright dangerous that states and districts across the US are arming educators and school staff in an effort to keep everyone safe. This is unconscionable and reckless.
But even with these bad faith efforts, we haven’t given up. In fact, we’re fighting harder than ever before. Our students and their families are worth every effort!
John, since the government refuses to act on a national level, it’s clear the only way to achieve real change and make our schools safer is by empowering educators and school staff to raise our collective voices for change.
And here at Teachers Unify To End Gun Violence, we’re already doing the critical organizing work to make that happen, but if we’re going to have the resources to continue this fight, we must first hit our end-of-month fundraising goal.
We face the threat of gun violence every day. But it’s not every day we get to see hundreds of people all donate their hard-earned dollars to help us END it.
