John–
This National Public Health Week, we are more grateful than ever for the contributions of our country's healthcare workers.
Healthcare workers are on the front lines of trying to curb the devastating health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic across the country. Many of them are even doing so without the proper medical equipment and supplies that they need, putting their lives at risk. But that's not all: As gun violence continues in our communities, even in the time of this pandemic, these workers play a critical role in saving the lives of gun violence victims and counseling survivors of gun violence.
These past few weeks, we've been doing what we can to support them; Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers across the country have been giving blood, sewing personal protective masks, and dropping off supplies to healthcare workers, in addition to adhering to social distancing guidelines. On top of that, some of our volunteers are among those medical professionals on the frontlines of this pandemic, working to save lives each and every day. Now, join me today in showing these courageous healthcare workers our thanks on social media.

John, I hope you'll take this opportunity to thank our nation's healthcare workers who continue to work to keep us safe, both from the COVID-19 pandemic and from our country's ongoing gun violence crisis.
Thank you, and stay safe.
