Friend, The Senate is back in session this week and a number of President Biden’s judicial nominees are still waiting for a confirmation vote. We must continue the confirmation of fair-minded Biden nominees in order to repair the damage done to our federal courts by former president Trump while we still have the time. By calling today and urging the Senate to prioritize the confirmation of President Biden's judicial nominees, you can help ensure that our judiciary is strong and impartial. Please take a few minutes out of your day to make this important call. >> Together, we can make a difference in shaping the future of our justice system. – Zach, People For ----[previous message]---- 📲 Call the Senate today and urge them to confirm President Biden’s judicial nominees! >> Friend, The right-wing smear campaigns targeted at President Biden’s judicial nominees have been nothing short of ruthless. One nominee in particular, Adeel Mangi, has been the subject of a long series of baseless and bigoted attacks by right-wing special interest groups that are rooted in Islamophobia – attempting to portray him as antisemitic by throwing completely unfounded accusations at him in order to exploit a rise in anti-Muslim hate and bias throughout the country. In fact, the accusations are so bogus that the Anti-Defamation League released a statement condemning the attacks Mr. Mangi faced from Republican senators during his Judiciary Committee hearing:
It’s why People For is proud to join dozens of our progressive allies for a national day of action urging the Senate to ignore the lies and smears targeting Mr. Mangi and confirm him alongside all of President Biden’s judicial nominees! We’re quickly running out of time in the Senate to confirm President Biden’s nominees, which would help rebalance our federal courts after years of Trump and Senator McConnell stacking them with right-wing extremists. Please make the call today. >> Thanks for all that you do. – People For the American Way
