John, Emily reached out last week with three great reasons why grassroots donations from folks like you are so important.

We wanted you to see them, so we attached that email to this one. However, before we ask you to chip in before tonight's End of Month Fundraising Deadline, we wanted to answer a more specific question:

"Why should I support Emily?"

And there are a ton of reasons, but for time's sake, we'll stick to just three reasons why Emily is the right voice to represent us in Congress:

1️⃣ After her son survived a mass shooting at his school in 2021, Emily has been a loud advocate for common-sense gun safety laws – things like requiring background checks, implementing waiting periods, and putting magazine capacity limits in place.

2️⃣ After more than two decades of living and raising her family here, and after taking the time to speak with folks around the district, Emily has a deep understanding of our community's concerns and what we need from our next elected official.

3️⃣ Having spent nearly 30 years in the business sector, Emily's got the problem-solving and critical-thinking skills necessary to find real solutions to our biggest issues.

We could continue to list reason after reason Emily is our #1 pick in this race, but there's just not enough time.

The simple truth is that she's running a people-powered movement to flip MI-10 from red to blue, but we need your help. We're still $4,122 short of meeting our goal before tonight's End of Month Fundraising Deadline. Will you help us reach our goal before MIDNIGHT?

Thank you,

Team Emily Busch

Hi John, I hate to reach out two weekends in a row, but this won't take long.

My End of Month Fundraising Deadline is in just a few days, and my team and I are still $6,542 short of meeting our online fundraising goal.

This is concerning – after successfully filing the paperwork to get my name on the ballot, the last thing we want to do now is let our foot off the gas. Will you help my team and I keep this momentum up with a donation today?

John, I don't want to keep you too long – here are just a few reasons my team and I need your help:

1️⃣ Your donation today goes toward my efforts to share my story with folks across the district and let them know about my pro-safety, pro-choice, community-first vision for the future.

2️⃣ Consistently meeting our goals sends an encouraging message to prospective partners about the strength and reach of my people-first plan for the future.

3️⃣ Meeting the goals we set allows my team to budget for next month's expenses, things like canvassing supplies, yard signs, and travel costs.

And if I needed to name one more, I'd say that having you in my corner brings me one step closer to unseating MI-10's own far-right extremist John James and flipping this district from red to blue.

But we can't get where we need to be without deliberate support from folks across the district. With only three days until my End of Month Fundraising Deadline, I'm reaching out personally to ask: will you chip in just a few bucks today to help me reach my goal?

Have a great rest of your weekend,

Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
