Over the next two weeks, NCOA will shine a spotlight on the biggest issues facing older adults and aging services professionals.

First, join us online May 2 for the 7th annual Older Adult Mental Health Awareness Day Symposium. Enjoy hearing from celebrity keynote speaker Jenifer Lewis as she shares her experience with mental health and brings much-needed attention to the needs of older adults. This is a free event, but registration is required.

Then, come to Arlington, Virginia for 3 days of learning, celebrating, and advocating as we host the Age+Action 2024 Conference. We expect almost 1,000 attendees this year, each with a chance to enjoy:

• A keynote address from Jennifer Klein, Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Gender Policy Council
• Dozens of sessions covering health, economic security, equity and access, senior centers, policy, and more
• Meetings with lawmakers and staffers on Capitol Hill to advocate for improving key federal policies for older adults
• Networking opportunities with colleagues and vendors
• An exhibit featuring original work from our annual photo contest

Direct Care Workforce Strategies Center announces states to receive Intensive Technical Assistance

Two programs to help states recruit, train, and retain direct care workers can soon begin. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services also announced the first members of the advisory committee that will guide the center's work.
