John,

As a person involved in the fight for fair maps you already know we’re facing an inflection point in our country — and that we need to do everything in our power to ensure that our democracy endures.

And voters as a whole grasp what’s at stake, too. In fact, new polling from NBC News and Hart Research importantly shows that the top issue influencing how people will actually vote this year is not inflation, is not immigration but is “protecting democracy”.

The NDR PAC is leading the charge to meet this moment and elect candidates who will defend our democracy, but we’ve got work to do to ensure voters know this issue is important not only in the presidential election but in races all the way down the ballot.

Can I count on you to support our work by making a donation today so we can be successful this November and beyond? [[link removed]]

Some pundits have claimed that voters don’t care about preserving democracy. This poll shows how that notion is utter nonsense.

But now we must connect the dots between defending democracy and electing state legislators and governors who support fair maps, and fair-minded state supreme court justices who will protect voters against the manipulation of our democratic systems.

State-level races don’t get as much attention as they deserve, and voters are often unable to find information on what’s at stake. That’s where we come in, with our targeted investments in the most important races that will make the biggest difference to shore up free and fair elections.

The good news is that this poll shows voters will be receptive to our message. We just have to make sure they hear it.

What we do between now and Election Day could be the difference in securing a future in which everyone is equally represented in our nation’s democracy, or a future where extremist politicians can bend the rules in their favor to subvert the will of the voters and cement minority rule.

The very fabric of our democracy is on the line. Voters know it — and they also know that when we protect democracy, we’ll be able to advance the values we care about like access to health care, women’s reproductive freedom, justice reform, climate protection, LGBTQ+ rights, and so much more.

But now we need to get our pro-democracy candidates over the line and ensure fair maps for a truly representative democracy. So please, make a donation to the NDR PAC today! [[link removed]]
