Amidst all the hard to swallow statistics nowadays, we wanted to share some numbers with you that give us hope for the future in our fight to reclaim and restore our democracy.

Democrats have a pathway to power in key state legislative chambers in 2020 that will reshape our democracy for the next decade through the 2021 redistricting and electoral mapmaking process:

-- IN TEXAS: Beto o'Rourke won a 76-74 majority of seats in the state house in 2018.

-- IN ARIZONA: We came within 577 votes from tying control of the state house in 2018.

-- IN NORTH CAROLINA: We won 51% of the statewide vote for the state House in 2018.

-- IN FLORIDA: We're 14 seats away from retaking the state house chamber in 2020.

We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to retake these key GOP-held state legislative chambers in November to halt gerrymandering and secure fair electoral maps for millions of Americans through 2032.

We've been making critical inroads in these chambers over the past months and years, but we cannot stop now. Our efforts are well underway now in these key states to ensure voters know what's at stake in the upcoming election.

Together, we can meet the challenges of our time and work towards a brighter future with a more prosperous, inclusive, and representative democracy.
