Welcome to this issue of Faith Meets Justice! This week, the members of the Ignatian Family will gather in New York City at the annual Ignite: A Celebration of Justice, where we will present awards to individuals and organizations who model the way in their work for justice. Learn more about this year's honorees and join this live stream here!

** Fr. Fred Kammer, S.J., Vince and Robyn Caponi to Receive the 2024 Robert M. Holstein Faith Doing Justice Award ([link removed])

During the May 1 event, CRISPAZ (Christians for Peace in El Salvador) will be presented with the Legacy of the Martyrs Award, and two young alumni of Jesuit schools, Jordan Denari Duffner (Georgetown '13) and Miriam Uribe (University of San Francisco '17) will be presented with the Moira Erin O'Donnell Emerging Leaders for Justice Award ([link removed]) .

Jonathan Mora, a Boston College student who serves on ISN's Undocu Network Core Committee, organized the first Undocu Week at Boston College this spring, bringing list to the realities of people who are undocumented or from mixed-status families.

ISN collaborated with Georgetown’s Initiative on Catholic Social Thought in Public Life to host a gathering that focused on how young Catholics can lean on Catholic teaching to renew a sense of solidarity and responsibility in civic engagement.

Coffee & Catholic Social Teaching: Delegation Visits Jesuit-Supported Coffee Cooperative in Mexico ([link removed])

ISN's Catholic Ethical Purchasing Alliance spent a week in Mexico with a U.S. Jesuit network delegation, visiting operations and production facilities and coffee shops, all run by Capeltic—an organic, farmer-owned coffee cooperative supported by the Jesuits in Chiapas, Mexico.
