Hey — if you’ve checked your email inbox today, you probably know already that every campaign in the country is up against a big monthly deadline at midnight.

The truth is, we’ve had a slow April when it comes to fundraising, and I could really use your help making up some of that ground and preparing us for a tough fight this fall. So, if you already know you’re with me, I’d be so grateful if you could pitch in any amount and help us out, even just $1.

I also believe that every candidate who asks for your support has a duty to tell you exactly what they stand for and what they’ll fight for. So I’d like to take the opportunity to talk to you about that now, if you have a minute to keep reading.

Unlike the vast majority of elected officials, I know what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet. I worked all kinds of jobs — at age 12, bagging groceries and waiting tables — to support myself through high school and college. And in Congress, I’m fighting for opportunities for regular people, not special-interest elites.

Today, I feel like opportunities for hardworking people have been cut in half. People across our country have been failed by Republican tax policies that have only benefited the wealthiest. We need to change that — while investing in critical areas like childcare, housing, and public education, and strengthening Social Security and Medicare.

There is no cause greater than American democracy, and I will keep defending it every way I can. That means defending voting rights here in the U.S. and fighting back against the attacks on our elections coming from MAGA extremists. It means defending democracy abroad by standing up for our allies in Ukraine. And it means getting ahead of the risks of AI and deepfakes to ensure that evolving technology doesn’t imperil the integrity of our elections.

I have always stood up for abortion rights, and always will. Here in Colorado, I helped pass one of the nation’s strongest laws protecting abortion rights, and if we flip the House blue this year, we’ll have a great shot at protecting the right to choose in all 50 states. I’m determined to get it done.

If after reading this you think we share the same goals and values, I could really use your support. We can’t retake our House majority without winning right here in CO-07. Will you pitch in any amount before tonight’s big deadline?
