John,
I believe the South Sound is looking for public servants who trust in science, tell the truth, and put people before politics. As we navigate this difficult time together, I think it’s more important than ever for each of us to have access to reliable, thoughtful information so we can do our best to plan ahead -- and I’m excited to do my part to help.
I’ll be using my time at home to really dig into the details of our country’s relief efforts and share the details of what folks should know -- particularly in the South Sound. You can follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for videos and interviews about the CARES Act (the first major COVID-19 relief package) and other bills to come that will impact unemployment benefits, direct payments, loans for small business, and more.
One of my favorite jobs as Congressman Denny Heck’s District Director was helping people in WA-10 understand how they would be affected by decisions made in Congress to make sure Congressman Heck had an open line of communication back home to his constituents. Now, when we are all craving information and trying to understand the complexities of the situation as it develops, I’m going to do what I’ve always done -- help my friends and neighbors access the information and resources they need.
Though we are apart, I stand with you in solidarity during this time. Please, feel free to reach out over email or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with any questions. I’ll do my best to get you the answers you need.
Phil
