TODAY is Tuesday, April 30th -- Primary Election Day! Please make a plan to vote now! You can find your polling location HERE.  Polls are open today from 7AM to 8PM. 

Whatever happens tonight, I want to truly thank you for your support over the past 7 months.  

Running for Hennepin County Commissioner has been a great experience - meeting and talking to residents all over District 6 from Orono to Mound, from Edina to Minnetonka. The number one question that has been asked is "what does a county commissioner do?" I believe we covered good ground on the importance of this role being a partner to our communities, state and federal governments in terms of taking care of people.

Whether that is ensuring people have access to child support, safe county roads and bridges, support with disability or senior waivers, mental health access, community corrections, rental and utility support, grants that fund local parks, maintaining our libraries to embedded social workers in our local police departments -- the county plays a critical role in all of our day-to-day lives. 

I hope to have your support today. It would be my honor to serve in this new capacity and work to improve the lives of Hennepin County residents, tackling tough issues head on just as I have at the Minnesota State Capitol.

Thank you again for taking this journey with me! This election will be won by those that turn out to vote. Let's ensure we elect an experienced, pragmatic leader to this vital position in our County government. Together, we can do great things!
