We're delighted to announce that Beth Doherty has been selected to join Ireland’s national and international climate change efforts, for a term of 20 months.
Established by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, working in collaboration with the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI), this will be the second year of the Climate Youth Delegate Programme.

As part of the programme, the Climate Youth Delegate will
- Support the active participation of young people in international climate policy and processes via collaborative process with youth organisations
- Raise awareness of Ireland’s international climate action efforts
- Ensure Ireland’s official delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) benefits from the perspectives and knowledge of youth in its work
Beth will be engaging in extensive consultation throughout the year. Those holding youth events in Ireland can contact [email protected] to invite the Climate Youth Delegates to attend.
