The GOP thinks they've found a foolproof way to win elections, Samuel:
make it harder for people who typically vote for Democrats to cast
their ballots.

You don't have to take my word for it -- you can ask the courts.

Last year, a federal court struck down North Carolina's draconian
voting restrictions because they targeted African Americans "with
almost surgical precision." The Supreme Court just announced that
it will take up a case of gerrymandered congressional districts in
Wisconsin, which one federal court already found were designed
specifically to hurt minority voters.

But even though the GOP is starting to take some losses in court, we
know they're going to keep passing restrictive voting laws and drawing
gerrymandered maps. It's a lot easier to win when you've got your finger
on the scale -- even if it comes at the cost of eroding the very fabric of
our democracy.

These voting restrictions and district maps come by and large from GOP
controlled statehouses. So if we're going to stop this junk, we need to
elect Democratic governors and state legislators.

There are governor's mansions and legislative seats at stake in just a few
months in Virginia and New Jersey. Friday's end-of-quarter fundraising
deadline is a huge opportunity for Democrats to set the tone for victories
in November.

So if you believe in protecting our right to vote and making sure our elections
