This afternoon, while expressing strong support for the ranked choice voting local option, Rep. Freiberg said there is "still work to be done" on the bill and moved to amend the Elections Finance Omnibus to remove the provision dealing with ranked choice voting. This means the omnibus bill will go to the floor without the Local Voices, Local Choices Act.
This is a disappointing result, but we are not finished. There are still other paths forward for the bill, and we will update you soon with next steps.
