Last night, the Roberts Court once again bent over backwards to gut our democracy.
They’ve already gutted the Voting Rights Act. They’ve already invited billionaires and corporations to buy elections. They’ve rubber-stamped partisan gerrymandering. They’ve green-lit the purge of over one million Ohio voters. But that wasn’t enough.
Their latest move: the Republican justices coalesced to back Wisconsin Republicans as they blocked an extension of absentee voting in today’s election.
We’re in the middle of a global pandemic, yet the right-wing justices don’t seem to care one bit about our health and safety. Instead of making it easier to vote and harder to spread a deadly virus, they’re determined to help Republicans succeed.
This outrageous attack on our democracy cannot stand. Add your name before midnight tonight and tell the Democratic Party: We need Court reform in the party platform.

John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and the other Republican justices on the Supreme Court must be stopped. We cannot just focus on winning in November, because the Roberts Court has repeatedly shown it is not above rigging elections.
There is only one way to stop this Republican-hijacked Supreme Court in its tracks -- and that’s Court reform.
We need to add justices to restore the Supreme Court’s balance. We need term limits to depoliticize confirmations. And we need to finally pass a code of ethics to hold this Court accountable.
