5/1 DEADLINE: Community Project Funding Applications

Dear Neighbor,

I was so proud to secure over $13 million dollars in federal Community Project Funding (CPF) for 15 total projects across the Massachusetts 7th Congressional District in Fiscal Year 2024 (FY2024). These projects, which I championed in partnership with municipalities and grassroots organizations in our district, will support affordable housing for LGBTQ+ seniors, childcare, economic development, accessible and resilient infrastructure, coastal flood mitigation, waterfront green space, life sciences, and more.

As we look ahead to the next fiscal year, I wanted to share the updated guidance and timeline for the House’s Fiscal Year 2025 (FY2025) Community Project Funding process.

Over the objection of Democratic members of the House Appropriations Committee, the Republican majority has made significant changes for this cycle, which can be found in the guidance document here. They have also set a very tight timeline for submissions to the Committee.

My office’s deadline for submissions is Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 at 5:30PM EST. Submit your application for Community Project Funding here.

My team will be hosting an informational Zoom webinar on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:00AM to walk through updates and answer questions. To register for the Zoom webinar, click here.

Please note my office will only be able to consider projects that are submitted by the Wednesday deadline. Once we have reviewed the submissions, we will send applicants supplemental questions specific to the subcommittee you are applying for funding through, which will be due to my office on Thursday, May 2nd. If you would like to review the supplemental questions, they can be found here. Participation in the webinar is not a requirement to advance in the process.

The guidance document names all the eligible subcommittee buckets that CPF submissions must fall within to be considered by the Committee for funding. Please review closely when weighing your submission. Over our objections, Republicans have placed unnecessary and harmful restrictions on the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Economic Development Initiative Subcommittee account, barring all non-profit organizations from applying for funding through this account.
