Already, outside groups have spent over $27 million on Ohio’s elections this year. The Senate race is shaping up to be one of the most expensive in the country.

National Republican groups are spending big because they believe that if they flood the airwaves in Ohio with negative and misleading attack ads, they can swing the election in their favor, take out Sherrod Brown, and elect Donald Trump to another disastrous term as president. The consequences would be enormous.

It’s obvious why they’re coming in big here: They know that Bernie Moreno is wrong for Ohio. He’s sold out workers and made business decisions that contributed to Ohio jobs being shipped overseas. He supports a national abortion ban. He’s dangerous.

But he’s also wealthy and able to put millions of his own dollars – on top of the Republican outside spending – into this race. It’s up to us to ensure that we can reach out to voters and push back.
