The House was out of session last week, but I wanted to take the time to update you on everything happening around the 14th District and in Washington, D.C.

I had a great time hosting the Congressional Art Competition for high school students in my district this week who displayed a great depth of artistic talent.

I also had the opportunity to join Steve Bannon this week from Georgia to discuss the current state of the Republican-led House of Representatives.

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide high school arts competition and is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional District. The winning artwork of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol.

Even if Congress is out of session, the work continues!

I joined Steve Bannon's War Room this week to discuss the need for Republicans in the House to start fixing the problems we have now. We do not have time to wait. We have a country that is sinking, and the only way to make sure it stays afloat is if Republicans do the necessary work and hold Democrats accountable.

Members of Congress have a responsibility to their constituents to stop the Biden Administration's corrupt weaponization of the DOJ. We must bring accountability to the House Speaker who has allowed this abuse of our corrupt justice system to be pursued.

The Office of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is seeking interns for her office in Washington, DC. Applicants should be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, and have interest in learning more about the legislative process. Start and end dates are flexible. Georgia ties are preferred, but not required. This is a paid position and college credit can be earned.

Interns will work in three different interest tracks:

• Policy: Interns will work closely with the Congresswoman’s legislative team. Tasks include answering phones, assisting with legislative research, processing constituent mail, attending policy briefings, and additional tasks to aid the legislative team.
  
  
• Communications: Interns will work closely with the Congresswoman’s communications team. Tasks include answering phones, compiling daily press and broadcast clips, organizing, maintaining, and updating media lists, drafting press releases, assisting with social media, and additional tasks to aid the communications team. Experience with the Adobe Suite is required.
  
  
• Administrative: Interns will work closely with the scheduler and staff assistants to complete tasks that are essential for day-to-day office organization. These include answering phones, compiling contact lists, processing constituent mail, leading Capitol tours, completing flag requests, drafting constituent correspondence, and assisting with weekly reports.
