John --

We’re back to highlight another one of our local chapters and let you know how you can get involved in their coronavirus relief efforts.

Our Boston chapter has partnered with local organizations to make sure Black folks are receiving the supplies and aid they need.

In particular, the Boston chapter is working to make sure the most vulnerable populations are not being overlooked during this pandemic. Their primary focus is on helping immigrants, undocumented people, people living below the poverty line, folks experiencing homelessness, non-native English speakers, Black folks in the trans community, and people living with disabilities.

For those of you outside of the greater Boston area who are able to help, please consider a donation to BLM Boston to help further their mission of supporting vulnerable neighbors in need during this time.

For our friends in the Boston area who are able to make physical donations -- please check out these BLM Boston-backed community-based sites, and consider dropping off supplies (nonperishable food, cultural foods, cleaning supplies, children’s craft items and games, gift cards to grocery stores and corner stores, diapers, water and water filters, masks, and hand sanitizer) or monetary donations.

In love and solidarity,

Black Lives Matter Boston is our city-based chapter affiliated with the Black Lives Matter Global Network. We formed in 2015 with a mission to develop Black leaders and create a network where Black people feel empowered to determine our destinies in our communities. Together, we are galvanizing our communities to end state-sanctioned violence against Black people.
