Libraries across the country are under attack. Republican representatives have called them “liberal grooming centers” and have suggested replacing them with church-owned alternatives.

The GOP is so desperate for an enemy that they’re now villainizing libraries and librarians. Let that sink in. Instead of focusing on the well-being of their constituents, Republicans are trying to cancel the public library system.

If the GOP gets their way, librarians could face jail time for allowing kids to read books. Of all the people to try and villainize, Republicans are choosing librarians, who only want to help educate the public.

The GOP could be focusing their attacks on any number of issues, like Congressional corruption or attacks on our democracy, but instead they’re harassing librarians.
