This morning, our campaign office was BUZZING with energy!
Why? Because this weekend at our official kickoff, we were joined by a packed room of Bethany’s friends and colleagues, community leaders from across the state, and many, many incredible grassroots supporters.
Just last Tuesday, we announced that Bethany had earned endorsements from a coalition of Lieutenant Governors from Harrisburg to Honolulu. And at Saturday's rally, we announced even more NEW endorsements:
Bethany was so grateful to have Governor John Carney, Senator Nicole Poore, Senator Stephanie Hansen, and LiUNA Local 199’s Curtis Linton help us make this rally such a huge success – and to AFSCME Council 81 for hosting.
All of these leaders and unions have endorsed Bethany because they know what we know: Bethany is ready to lead on day one.
She is running with a bold, innovative plan to make the First State a true national leader. We’ve already seen her in action when she led the state’s pandemic recovery, helped to make Delaware the only state in the country to see a decrease in overdose deaths, and brought the Basic Needs Closet into 40 schools (and counting).
Governor Carney said it best: “At the end of the day, trust is the most important aspect. Bethany Hall-Long has earned the trust of organized labor, elected officials, community leaders, and of her Governor. She is prepared to lead this state.”
