Hi–

Every year, Moms and Students Demand Action volunteers join other gun
safety advocates from across their state to urge lawmakers to pass
legislation that keeps our communities safe. These events, called advocacy
days, are part of the fabric of our movement.

getting started. [ [link removed] ]RSVP to an upcoming event near you.

In Arizona last month, hundreds of volunteers gathered at the capitol in
Phoenix to meet with lawmakers—including Governor Hobbs—about gun safety
priorities. Volunteers and student leaders spoke out against dangerous
bills designed to encourage people to shoot migrants and to put guns on
Arizona campuses. And they delivered nearly 1,300 petition signatures
urging Arizona lawmakers to support gun safety legislation this session!

And just last week, North Carolina volunteers rallied at the General
Assembly to call on lawmakers to pass key gun safety bills, including
creating an Extreme Risk Protection Order in the state and requiring
secure storage of guns in cars. Our powerful gun safety coalition
hand-delivered petition signatures to more than 75 lawmakers'
offices—ensuring our demands can't be ignored.

Hundreds of Marylanders rallied at their Advocacy Day back in January,
where they were joined by their Gun Sense governor, lieutenant governor,
comptroller, and champions in the Maryland House and Senate! After the
chapter's continued advocacy and this historic day of action, the
legislature passed critical bills to hold bad actors in the gun industry
accountable and create the Maryland Center for Violence Prevention and
Intervention.

And in Minnesota, hundreds of Moms and Students Demand Action volunteers
gathered to demand state lawmakers pass secure gun storage legislation.
This fight builds on our progress from last year when Minnesota lawmakers
passed a historic gun violence prevention package with the help of new Gun
Sense Majorities in both legislative chambers.

This fight is challenging—yet our volunteers know that organizing in their
communities to end this crisis is imperative. [ [link removed] ]Join us and find an event

No matter who you are, there's a place for you in our movement.
